Last Month we did a post about some honor killings over the past year in Pakistan and Africa. Being disgusted with this kind of behavior and wanting to raise some awareness to this issue we are updating you on the situation over there.

Unfortunately over the past month alone there have been 3 more reported incidents all in Pakistan were marrying without consent by family is forbidden especially by conservative Muslims. Far too many people ,usually women but sometimes couples in the hundreds are killed each year by their own relatives over supposed sexual indiscretions, which are believed to dishonor the family.

1) A 17 yr old girl and husband were killed by family for marrying without consent from her family

2) A woman was burned alive by a man because her family refused his proposal in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province on sunday. Fayaz Aslam 26 poured gasoline on sidra shaukat 20 and set her on fire in a field stated a district police officer

3) On Friday Muafia Bibi and her husband were killed in Satrah village by her parents, uncles and grandfather stated the area police . They were hacked to death with a butcher knife and that all 5 suspects had been arrested. The area police officer said that the couple married on june 19 and  that the family lured them back home by telling them that they had accepted the marriage.
